Lindblade Named To SEC Community Service Team
May 07, 2024 | Softball
STARKVILLE – Hosanna Lindblade is Mississippi State's representative on the 2024 SEC Community Service Team. She led the Bulldogs in service hours this year with more than double that of anyone else on the roster.
Â
Lindblade is very active in her local church in Starkville, volunteering with the New Horizons youth group on Wednesday nights and leading a young women's small group every Tuesday night.
Â
The freshman also volunteered with Starkville Strong, a local service organization in the city. Lindblade helped collect donations for the organization's annual food drive and later volunteered at their pop-up grocery store as needy families were able to "shop" for the donated items.
Â
On campus, Lindblade has donated items to the Sudduth Elementary School toy drive and assisted college students with intellectual or developmental disabilities in the MSU ACCESS program while they participated in a wiffle ball game at Nusz Park.
Â
The Southeastern Conference names a Community Service Team in all 21 sponsored sports each year.
Â
No. 17/17 Mississippi State will open the SEC Tournament in Auburn, Alabama, on Wednesday night against South Carolina. First pitch is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m. CT but will begin 30 minutes following the conclusion of the prior game. All games of the tournament will air on SEC Network.
