STARKVILLE – Mississippi State's 13th-ranked men's tennis program produced three student-athletes that were recently selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Balkans Petar Jovanovic, Nemanja Malesevic and Dusan Milanovic all represented the Bulldogs on the list. It is the second-straight year for all three men to earn the honor with Jovanovic and Malesevic both doing so at MSU in 2023 while Milanovic claimed the distinction while still at Presbyterian.
Jovanovic posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a sophomore while pursuing a degree in finance.
On the court, Jovanovic was an All-American and a first team All-SEC selection. The Podgorica, Montenegro native topped the Bulldogs with 28 singles victories and tied for the team lead with 25 doubles wins. He knocked off nine ranked singles competitors as well as a dozen ranked doubles tandems this season and also won the consolation singles bracket at the ITA National Fall Championships.

The three-time second team All-SEC selection racked up 11 of his 14 singles victories this season from the No. 1 position in the lineup while taking down seven ranked foes and clinching five matches. The senior from Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina finished his career tied for seventh in the school's annals with 106 dual match wins and his 60 singles wins during dual matches ranks ninth all-time at Mississippi State.
Milanovic sported a 3.72 GPA while majoring in interdisciplinary studies. He is also a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete and was part of the Big South All-Academic team in 2023.
In his first season in Starkville, Milanovic stacked up 16 singles wins and 17 doubles triumphs. The junior from Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina paced the Bulldogs by clinching six matches while also picking three singles and three doubles victories over ranked foes.
