
Hernandez Selected To SEC Community Service Team

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State's Carles Hernandez was recognized for his charitable efforts as a member of the SEC's Community Service Team on Thursday.
Hernandez has helped contribute to the Mississippi State, Starkville and greater Oktibbeha County communities in various ways throughout the year. He helped hand out meals to those in need as part of the Starkville Strong: Neighbors Helping Neighbors program on multiple occasions. Hernandez also served meals in association with the Casserole Kitchen.
The senior from Crevillent, Spain also played tennis with students in Mississippi State's ACCESS Program, which serves students with intellectual or developmental disabilities. He also spent time with encouraging and inspiring children during an outing at Skate Odyssey in Starkville.
On the court, Hernandez is tied for the team lead with a 15-5 dual match singles record this season and has added 10 doubles victories as well. He was a 2023 All-SEC second team selection and has racked up 105 total wins over the course of his career.
