Horder and Lopez Ramirez officially accept Augusta National Amateur Invites

STARKVILLE – Chiara Horder and Julia Lopez Ramirez have both accepted invitations to play in the 2024 Augusta National Women's Amateur, which begins on April 3. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the event.

Horder will be making her first appearance in the Augusta National Women's Amateur. Horder enters the tournament after earning an automatic bid last summer by winning the 120th Women's World Amateur at Princes Golf Club on June 18. As the world's reigning Women's Amateur champion, Horder has competed in numerous tournaments, including the AIG Women's Open and the Women's World Amateur Team Championship.

Lopez Ramirez will be making her second appearance at Augusta. Lopez Ramirez currently ranks third in the Women's Amateur Golf Rankings and fourth in Spikemark's collegiate individual rankings. Along with being one of the top-ranked amateurs in the field, Lopez Ramirez won the 2023 European Ladies Amateur Championship and competed alongside Horder in the AIG Women's Open and the Women's World Amateur Team Championship.

The Augusta National Women's Amateur will take place the week prior to the 88th Masters Tournament. The 72-player field will compete in 36 holes before the cut slims the field down to 30. The first two rounds will take place at Champions Retreat Golf Club on April 3 and 4, with the final round occurring at Augusta National on April 6.

All three rounds of the Augusta National Women's Amateur will be broadcast. The first two rounds will be live on the Golf Channel from 12:30-2:30 p.m. CT, with the final round being broadcast on NBC Sports from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. CT.
