TEAM NOTES
- Mississippi State completed its perfect week and captured the program's first true road win of the season with a 75-51 rout of Missouri to improve to 16-8 overall and 5-6 in SEC play.
- The 24-point margin of victory is the largest for State during a SEC road game dating back to a 79-54 win at Florida on 02/21/1990, while the 51 points allowed matches the lowest point total allowed by the Bulldogs in a SEC game under Coach Jans. Â
- The Bulldogs sank 10 of their first 14 shots en route to 25 of the opening 31 points during the second half. Ultimately, State would outscore the Tigers, 45-25, during the second 20 minutes.
- Keys to State's win was a 36-26 advantage in paint points, scoring 14 of the game's 18 points off turnovers and a 12-4 edge in fastbreak points.
- The Bulldogs have won 12 of their 16 games by double-digit points this season.
- The Maroon and White have won eight of the last nine meetings dating back to the 2018-19 season and 13 of the last 15 meetings since 2014-15 over Missouri.
- Overall, State improves to 14-6 in the series against the Tigers.
- The Maroon and White improve to 13-1 this season and 31-4 over the last two seasons under Coach Jans when leading at the half.
- The Bulldogs improve to 8-3 in February games under Coach Jans, while Coach Jans is 45-12 overall over his eight seasons at the NCAA Division I level.
- State tucked away a 39-31 rebounding edge and have won the battle of the boards during 19 of the 24 games this season.

- The Maroon and White improve to 16-6 this season and 32-9 over the last two seasons under Coach Jans when shooting 40.0 percent or higher.
- The Bulldogs also moved to 11-1 this season and 23-5Â over the last two seasons under Coach Jans when holding their opponent to under a 40 percent shooting clip.
- State connected on 28-of-59 from the floor (47.5 percent), sank 9-of-25 from three-point territory (36.0 percent) and hit on 10-of-21 at the charity stripe (47.6 percent).
- State fired off a 16-10 edge in bench points and has outscored its opponent in 16 outings this season. In those 16 aforementioned contests, the Bulldogs have outscored their opponents by a 543-202 margin.
- Conversely, Missouri turned in a 16-for-47 shooting effort (34.0 percent), sank 3-for-18 of its three-pointers (16.7 percent) and produced a 16-for-20 clip from the free throw line (80.0 percent).

Tolu Smith III
- Started in 94 of his 97 career games at State.
- Produced 13 points on 6-of-8 from the floor and hauled down 11 rebounds to claim his 5th double-double of 2023-24.
- Tallied 20 of his league-best 30 double-doubles versus SEC competition.
- 15 of his last 28 outings in double figures also have resulted in a double-double for Smith III dating back to mid-January of last season.
- Notched double figures in 75 of 97 games at State.
- The 13 points gives Smith III 1,411 career points and moves him into 17th-place on the program's all-time list.
- He eclipsed Jarvis Varnado (2007-08-08-10) on the program's scoring list in tonight's game.
- The 11 rebounds moves Smith III into 10th-place on the program's all-time list with 778 career rebounds. He was able to pass Dave Williams (1966-67-68) during tonight's game.
- Smith III's 6 made field goals moved him into 14th-place tie with Ravern Johnson (2008-09-10-11) on the program's list with 522 made baskets. He passed Craig Sword (2013-14-15-16) during tonight's action.
- Made 60 of his 62 career starts while at State and has started the team's last 16 games.
- Secured 14 points and 2 assists.
- Finished 5-of-6 from the field and perfect 4-of-4 from beyond the arc.
