TEAM NOTES
- Mississippi State advanced to 8-1 as the Bulldogs knocked off Prairie View A&M, 91-84, during a Sunday matinee at Humphrey Coliseum.
- The Bulldogs have won all three meetings over the Panthers during the all-time series.
- State erased an early 15-point deficit in the opening half and drew even at 44-44 heading into the locker room. The Bulldogs would eventually lead by as many as 12 points late during the second half before closing out the 7-point decision.
- State used its 9th starting five combination in as many outings during today's game as Shawn Jones Jr. returned to the lineup for the first time since the SMU game on 11/22.
- The Bulldogs are now 31-5 in games against non-SEC opponents during the Coach Jans era.
- The Maroon and White is now 5-0 on the season and moved to 28-8 in games at Humphrey Coliseum with Coach Jans.
- The Bulldogs moved to 3-0 under Coach Jans when reaching at least 90 points. Coach Jans also is 18-2 in his nine-year coaching career when accomplishing this feat.
- State advanced to 11-3 during the month of December under Coach Jans.
- The Bulldogs won the rebounding battle, 35-22, for the 53rd time under Coach Jans which includes the seventh time in nine games in 2024-25. State is 41-12 when winning the battle on the boards.
- State had five players reach double figures in back-to-back outings and for the third time in the team's last five games.
- Overall, it marked the fourth time this season and fifth time under Coach Jans that five players have scored in double figures. The Bulldogs are 5-0 in those games.Â
- State had two players reach at least 20 points for the third time this season. Josh Hubbard (25 points) and Claudell Harris Jr. (21 points) paired up for the 2nd time this season.
- The Bulldogs secured 12 offensive rebounds and scored 20 of the game's 34 points on second-chance opportunities.
- As a team, State connected on 30-54 from the field (55.6 percent), notched an 11-for-26 clip from three-point territory (42.3 percent) and sank 20-of-31 at the foul line (64.5 percent).
- The Bulldogs are 4-0 on the season and 15-4 under Coach Jans when shooting at least 50 percent from the field.
- State is also 9-1 under Coach Jans when sinking 20 foul shots. They are 4-0 this season and 34-8 during the Chris Jans era when making more free throws than its opponent.
- The Bulldogs canned at least 10 three-pointers for the 4th time this season.
- Conversely, Prairie View A&M recorded a 31-55 shooting effort (56.4 percent), hit on 10-of-19 of its three-pointers (52.6 percent) and knocked down 12-for-20 at the charity stripe (60.0 percent).Â

 Josh Hubbard
- Started his 23rd consecutive game over the last two seasons.
- Recorded a team-leading 25 points to go along with three dimes, two rebounds and two steals.
- The 25 points are his third-highest scoring outing versus a non-conference opponent.
- His 5th outing of 20+ plus on the season and the 18th time he's reached the 20-point plateau for his career.
- Notched double figures in 18 consecutive games dating back to the Ole Miss game on 02/21/2024 and for the 38th time in 44 career games.
- Compiled 769 points in his career, which is second in school history for freshmen and sophomores through 44 career games. He trails only Ray White (774 points) from 1976-77.
- Impacted the game with a team-high +15 plus-minus rating.
- Buried at least one trey in 22 straight games dating back to the Georgia game on 02/07/2024.
- Drained multiple triples for the 38th time in his 44-game career at State.
- Dished out multiple assists in eight out of nine games this season.
