Full Schedule Announced For 2024 Bulldog Invitational Presented By C Spire

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State Athletics is proud to announce long-time partner C Spire as the title sponsor of Mississippi State softball's annual Bulldog Invitational. The relationship was negotiated through Learfield's MSU Bulldog Sports Properties, who oversees athletic multimedia rights. The 13-game event will be played over four days beginning on Feb. 29.

"We are excited to capitalize on the incredible interest in women's softball to deliver a unique event to C Spire, a partner committed to supporting MSU athletes and fans," Bulldog Sports Properties general manager Ann Brett Gillespie Strickland said. "This sponsorship reinforces our efforts to help elevate women's sports at Mississippi State and connect sponsors to the fans that support our women's teams."

"C Spire has been a major partner for Mississippi State Athletics for more than 30 years," Jim Richmond, C Spire's vice president of corporate communications said. "We are proud to be the title sponsor for the Bulldog Invitational, which will feature teams from across our footprint."

State will host Southern Miss, Troy, Alcorn State and Samford over the weekend, playing Troy and Alcorn State twice. The Bulldogs open the event on Thursday, Feb. 29 at 6 p.m. CT against the Golden Eagles. Friday's schedule features Samford playing Troy at 10 a.m. and Southern Miss at 12:30 p.m. before the Bulldogs meet the Trojans at 3 p.m. Alcorn State and Southern Miss will conclude the second day of the tournament at 5:30 p.m.

Nusz Park will be the home of five games on Saturday, March 2. Southern Miss and Alcorn State open the day at 9 a.m. MSU then plays back-to-back games against Alcorn State (12:30 p.m.) and Troy (2 p.m.). Samford will get the evening's action, meeting Southern Miss at 4:30 p.m. and Troy at 7 p.m.

Troy and Alcorn State will open Sunday's play at 10 a.m. before the Bulldogs play the final two games of the tournament. MSU will host Alcorn State at 12:30 p.m. and match up with Samford immediately following at 3 p.m.
