The NFL Playoffs get underway this weekend with nine Mississippi State players on active rosters and two more roaming the sidelines as coaches.
Those nine players have earned $574,959,753 million during their respective careers, which ranks as the fourth-most in the nation and third in the Southeastern Conference. Those nine players have also combined for 21 Pro Bowl selections and four Super Bowl rings.
Martin Emerson will open this year's Wild Card Weekend on Saturday as his Cleveland Browns invade the Houston Texans at 3:30 p.m. Later that evening, Willie Gay Jr. and Chris Jones take the field for the Kansas City Chiefs' defense as they host the Miami Dolphins at 7:10.
Sunday's matchup between Green Bay and Dallas at 3:30 p.m. will feature four Bulldogs. Elgton Jenkins and Preston Smith will represent the Packers while Dak Prescott and Tyrus Wheat try to protect their home field at AT&T Stadium.
Fletcher Cox, Darius Slay and the Philadelphia Eagles will close out Wild Card Weekend on Monday night when they travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers at 7:15.
Stephen Adegoke serves as the safeties coach for the Texans while DeAndre Ward works as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for Tampa Bay.
