#StateToTheShow: Athletes Unlimited Week 4

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Mia Davidson-Smith will enter the final week of Athletes Unlimited action among the top 10 on the leaderboard. She ranks ninth with 1,254 total points and has been drafted to Team Flippen (Blue) for Week 5.

She reached twice in three trips to the plate on Friday night, drawing a walk and being hit by a pitch. Along the way, she made an impressive catch, leaping onto the edge of the backstop to snag a foul pop-up.

On Sunday, she also reached in two of her three plate appearances, being hit by a pair of pitches. Davidson-Smith holds the Athletes Unlimited season and career records for hit-by-pitches in Championship play with eight this year and 12 overall. When including her AUX career totals, she has been hit 20 times, the most of any player on the combined list.

Davidson-Smith posted her second multi-hit and third multi-RBI game of the season on Saturday, driving in three runs on a double and her league-leading fourth home run. She helped lift her team to an 8-4 victory with an RBI double in a four-run first inning and a two-run homer to cap the seventh frame.

The former Bulldog legend now ranks 13th in Athletes Unlimited Championship history with eight career home runs despite playing in just one previous season. Her .667 slugging percentage is second in the league, and her 1.154 OPS is third. She also ranks third in the league with 10 RBIs.

Davidson-Smith and Team Flippen open the final week of play at 4:30 p.m. CT on Friday, August 25. They'll meet Team Gibson (Orange) on ESPN+. Saturday's game is set for 5 p.m. against Team Alexander (Gold) and is also on ESPN+. Davidson-Smith will play her final game of the season at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday against Team Denham (Purple). That contest will air on ESPN2.
