Women’s Golf Announces Fall Portion of 2023-24 Schedule

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State women's golf head coach Charlie Ewing announced the fall portion of the 2023-24 schedule on Friday. The schedule once again sends the Bulldogs to some of the most iconic courses in the country, with tournaments featuring some of the country's best teams.
For the second consecutive season, the Bulldogs will start at the Carmel Cup from Sept. 1-3 at the Pebble Beach Golf Links. One of the primer tournaments in the country, the Carmel Cup features the best programs in Division I women's golf.
Following their trip to Pebble Beach, the Bulldogs will again find themselves at an elite tournament when they head to the ANNIKA Intercollegiate from Sept. 10-13 at the Royal Golf Club. This year ANNIKA Intercollegiate will showcase 10 programs that competed In Grayhawk at the NCAA Championships, with half of those teams having advanced to Match Play at the NCAA Championship.
State will open the month of October in Johnson, Ark., with the Bulldog men's team when they compete at the Blessings Intercollegiate from Oct. 2-4. The Blessings Intercollegiate will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel. Last season the Bulldogs swept the event, winning the team championship and the individual title when Julia Lopez Ramirez won the event with an 8-under par score through the three-round event.
Mississippi State will close out the fall portion of its schedule when they host their lone home event of the season, The Ally, from Oct. 23-25 at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Miss. This is the fourth consecutive year that State has hosted The Ally and the fourth straight season that it will be held at Old Waverly. The Ally is named after former Mississippi State golfer Ally McDonald, now Ally Ewing. While at State, Ewing was recognized as an All-American, All-SEC player and set numerous program records. In four years at State, she scored five top-10 finishes and only finished one event outside the top 25.
The league office and the NCAA have already announced dates for postseason play. The SEC Championship will be played in Belleair, Fla., from April 12-16 at the Pelican Golf Club. NCAA Regional action will be played May 6-8, with sites determined in the spring. The NCAA Championship will be played in Carlsbad, Calif., from May 17-22 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa.
Last season the Bulldogs won four tournaments and earned their first-ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament after winning the NCAA Westfield Regional. They also advanced to the NCAA Championship for the second-straight season.
