#StateToTheShow: Women’s Pro Fastpitch Weeks 3 & 4

STARKVILLE – Bulldogs blasted homers again in the third and fourth weeks of Women's Pro Fastpitch action. Fa Leilua and Chloe Malau'ulu both launched two-run home runs for the Oklahoma City Spark.
Leilua opened the third week of play with a two-run homer that would prove to be the game-winner in a 5-4 victory against the Texas Smoke on July 2. Malau'ulu's shot came in the midst of a hot series against Annie Willis' Smash It Sports Vipers on July 10-12.
Leilua also singled and scored against the Smoke on July 2, going 2-for-3 with a two RBIs and two runs scored. She drew four walks across the other two games of that series.
While Malau'ulu was quiet against the Smoke, her bat came to life against the Vipers. The Long Beach, California, native batted .500 in the series (5-for-10) with a hit in each game, including her homer. The first two games of the series marked her first consecutive multi-hit efforts as a professional. In the same series, Leilua plated four runs with a three-run double and a sacrifice fly.
Between the series, Leilua and Malau'ulu traveled to London, England, with the Spark to play Team Great Britain. The two games were the final preparations for the British side before they began the group stage of the WBSC World Cup where another former Bulldog, Mia Davidson-Smith, is currently playing with Team USA.
