BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – Mississippi State's Isaac Stansbury earned his second SEC Community Service Team accolades announced Thursday by the conference office.
Stansbury's community service projects include participating in a book drive where he collected children's books that were donated to the library at Sudduth Elementary School. He wrote letters of encouragement to a student at The Partnership Middle School where he also went to greet students and played basketball/other activities with the students during PE Class.
Stansbury is a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient. He has earned AD Honor Roll recognition seven times and Dean's List honors on three occasions during his academic career at Mississippi State.
Stansbury has represented the program at the 2022 SEC Leadership Council. He is a member of State's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Leadership Academy Team. Stansbury is scheduled to graduate with his undergraduate degree in petroleum engineering this spring.
The 2022-23 campaign marks the 25th year for the SEC Community Service Team for men's and women's basketball. All 21 league-sponsored sports have had a SEC Community Service Team since 2004.
