Postgame Notes: MSU at Missouri

TEAM NOTES

For the second consecutive game, Mississippi State overcame a late deficit to force overtime on the road. However, Missouri knocked down a pair of three-pointers inside the final minute of the extra session to emerge with the 66-64 win.
The Bulldogs fall to 18-10 overall and 6-9 in SEC action.
The back-and-forth affair featured 12 ties and 19 lead changes.
State had won its previous two overtime decisions in 2022-23 over TCU and at Ole Miss. Overall, head coach Chris Jans drops to 6-2 in overtime games.
The Bulldogs had their seven-game winning streak over Missouri which dated back to the 2018-19 season come to a close. Overall, State still holds a 13-6 advantage over the Tigers.
The Bulldogs scored 12 of the game's 21 points on second-chance opportunities.
State worked its way to a 41-38 rebounding edge over the Tigers. The Bulldogs have outrebounded its opponents in 19 of 28 games this season and fall to 16-3 when accomplishing the feat.
As a team, the Bulldogs hit on 22-of-60 from the floor (36.7 percent), 7-of-28 from beyond the three-point line (25.0 percent) and was 13-of-18 from the foul line (72.2 percent).
Conversely, Missouri was 23-of-57 on its field goal attempts (40.4 percent), was 8-of-24 on its triples (33.3 percent) and 12-of-19 at the charity stripe (63.2 percent).
