Postgame Notes: MSU at Arkansas

TEAM NOTES
- Mississippi State marched into a hostile environment and earned a battle-tested 70-64 triumph at Arkansas to extend its winning streak to five straight games.
- The Bulldogs have won eight of the last 10 over the Razorbacks dating back to 2015-16. State has emerged with victories in four of its last seven trips to Bud Walton Arena. Â
- The Maroon and White hit on 18 of its 27 buckets on the interior for a 36-28 edge in paint points. State has outscored its opponents in paint points during 18 of 25 games this season.
- The Bulldogs passed out 15 assists on their 27 field goals. Over the last five games, State has distributed 86 assists on its 130 baskets.
- State forced the Razorbacks into 13 turnovers and managed to turn those Arkansas miscues into 16 of the game's 25 points off turnovers.
- The Bulldogs grinded out a 33-31 rebounding advantage in the battle of the boards. State improves to 15-2 when winning the rebounding battle in 2022-23.
- The Dawgs and Hogs traded early punches during the opening 3:11 of the contest. Arkansas tallied the opening five points before State responded with seven consecutive points.
- With Arkansas up 17-16 at the 11:12 mark, the Bulldogs ripped off 11 of the next 13 points to surge ahead 27-19 with 7:37 remaining. Tolu Smith capped the flurry with an offensive rebound tipin.
- The Bulldogs would take a 34-25 lead into the locker room and fired off a 9-2 run to stretch the spread to their largest advantage to 47-31 over the second half's opening four minutes.
- Arkansas would make its run behind Anthony Black who scored 11 second-half points and added four second-half assists.
- The Razorbacks converted on 13 second-half free throws and pulled back to within 60-57 with 1:22 left on a Davonte Davis transition layup.Â
- State answered behind Cameron Matthews who stepped up with critical putback layup and sank all four of his free throws down the stretch to salt away the six-point win.
- As a team, the Bulldogs drained 27-of-57 from the floor (47.4 percent), 6-of-10 from beyond the three-point line (60.0 percent) and was 10-of-16 from the free throw line (62.5 percent).
- Conversely, Arkansas was 21-of-48 on its shot attempts (43.8 percent), made 4-of-18 of its triples (22.2 percent) and were 18-of-26 at the charity stripe (69.2 percent). Â

- Pumped home 11 of his team-leading and SEC career-high 17 points in the second half.
- Was 6-of-11 from the floor, 2-of-3 on triples and 3-of-3 at the foul line.
- His 7th outing this season and 22nd time in his career with double figures.
- Nailed multiple three's for the 8th game this season.Â
- Provided a solid all-around with 12 points, five assists and five rebounds.
- Amassed 10+ points in four of the last five and six of his last eight outings.
- Piled up 21 of his 26 career games in double figures at State.
- MSU and NC State are a combined 19-7 when Moore secures double figures.
- Came away with 5+ assists for the 3rd time this season and 7th time in his career.
- Sank multiple treys in four of his last five games and for the 9th time in 2022-23.
- Buried 22 of his 29 career outings with 2+ triples in Maroon and White.
- 3+ assists in 23 outings at State, 13 coming against SEC opponents.
- Made 35 of his 37 career starts at MSU
- Chipped in 11 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
- Pushed his streak to 9 straight games and racked up a team-leading 20 times in double figures this season.

- Distributed multiple assists in five of his last six outings with 11 of his 28 career outings with multiple assists coming this season.Â

- Passed out multiple assists for the 11th time in 2022-23 and 28th time over his career.
- Came away with 6 of his SEC career-high tying 10 points over the last 1:13 of the contest.
- Drained all four of his free throws sandwiched around a putback layup down the stretch. Â
- Tallied double figures in three of his last five outings and for the 8th time in his career.Â
- Added six rebounds fueled by four offensive glass and secured two steals.
- Marked his 14th outing of 2022-23 and 33rd occasion with multiple steals.
- Registered 5+ boards in 14 of 25 games this season and 32 times over his career.Â
- Contributed four points, four rebounds and two assists.
- Handed out multiple assists in 14 games this season and 53 times over his career.
- Started 56 of 59 games at State.
- Mississippi State outscored Arkansas by a 16-9 margin in bench points. The Bulldogs have outscored their opponents in 15 of 25 games this season.
- For the second straight game it was Will McNair Jr. and Shawn Jones Jr. who did the heavy lifting. The duo combined for 11 points, six rebounds and two assists.
- Eric Reed Jr. and Tyler Stevenson each added baskets to complete the scoring. Reed Jr.'s triple came midway through the second half to stretch State's advantage back to 10 points at 58-48.
