STARKVILLE – Dellquan Warren, an ESPN top 75 recruit and four-star prospect, has signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) during the fall signing period and is set to join the Mississippi State men's basketball program in 2024-25 announced Thursday by head coach Chris Jans.
Warren, a 6-1 guard from Erie, Pennsylvania, prepped at Our Saviour Lutheran High School for Pete Wehye in The Bronx, New York. He also has played high school basketball at Keystone Athletic Academy and at Cathedral Prep in his home state.
"Our basketball program got better when Dellquan Warren made the decision to join our basketball family," Jans said. "Dellquan is a high-energy young man, who plays with a burst. He possesses great speed, vision and very quick hands. He should be a high-level defender, who can do a little of everything on offense. Most importantly, Dellquan is a fierce competitor, who loves the game. We're looking forward to him wearing the Maroon and White."
"Dellquan is a true competitor who loves the game of basketball," Wehye said. "He will bring energy for Mississippi State on both sides of the ball along with leadership in the locker room. I'm really excited to see Dellquan in a Mississippi State uniform."
Mississippi State plays its home opener against UT Martin on Saturday at a renovated Humphrey Coliseum. Tip time is slated for 4 p.m. CT. The game will be carried online only courtesy of SEC Network
