Fan Experience Announces Enhancements and Promotional Plan for 2023-24 Basketball Seasons

STARKVILLE – The 2023-24 basketball season will tip off Monday in the newly renovated Humphrey Coliseum beginning with the women's basketball team's season opener against Alcorn State at 6:30 p.m. The men's squad will host UT Martin on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 4:00 p.m. for their home opener.
The Hump features a wide range of upgrades including new entrances, a new and redesigned court, new baseline seating, a new premium area called the Legends Club, an updated concourse with expanded concessions and restrooms and much more. A portion of the student section has moved courtside to create one of the most dynamic environments in the country featuring a DJ at every game.
On Monday, Mississippi State Athletics will showcase new fan experience enhancements including the debut of a state-of-the-art light show. Be sure to arrive early as the show will debut prior to the 6:30 p.m. tipoff. The first 1,000 fans will also receive a FREE 'ONE' shirt as they enter the coliseum.
"We're excited to bring these enhancements to basketball gamedays in Starkville," said Assistant A.D. of Fan Experience Spencer McAnally. "The light show is an NBA-style element that will make the game-day atmosphere in the Hump one of the best in the country. Throughout the next few weeks and the season, we look forward to bringing more enhancements and new assets to basketball gamedays."
On Friday, Coach Purcell's squad hosts Southeastern Louisiana at 6:30 p.m. for Bingo Night. For the men's home opener on Saturday, the first 1,000 students will receive a free shirt as Coach Jans' squad welcomes UT Martin at 4:00 p.m. The women's team rounds out opening week with Jacksonville State on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. On both Saturday and Sunday, acrobat Red Panda will perform at halftime!
