
State Announces 2024 Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Schedules

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State track and field announces its 2024 indoor and outdoor schedules. The Bulldogs will attend a total of twelve regular season indoor and outdoor meets, highlighted by two at Mississippi State's own, Mark Sanders Track Complex.

The Bulldogs will open their indoor season at the beginning of the new year when they travel to Birmingham, Ala. for the Blazer Invitational on Jan. 12. Following the Blazer Invite, State will go to Arkansas for the Razorback Invitational on Jan. 26-27.

The team will be split for the final regular season meets of the indoor season the weekend of Feb. 9 when one group will compete at the Tiger Paw with the other heading to Vanderbilt for the Music City Challenge.

After the regular season concludes, the Bulldogs will participate in the SEC Indoor Championships Feb. 23-24, hosted by the University of Arkansas. This will be the second of the two meets in Fayetteville for the Bulldogs.

State will conclude their indoor season with the NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston at The TRACK at New Balance, March 5-9. This will be the first time since 1965 that the NCAA Indoor Championships will be held in the Northeast.

The outdoor season will begin the following week in Miami for the Hurricane invitational.

Mississippi State will host its inaugural Alumni Bulldog Relays March 21-23. Alumni are invited back to Starkville for the event to enjoy a full weekend of family friendly events that include facilities tours, a banquet and the chance to reconnect with former teammates and meet current athletes and coaches.

Following the Alumni Bulldog Relays, State will attend the Battle at The Bayou hosted by LSU, before traveling to Tuscaloosa for the Crimson Tide Invitational. Last year the Bulldogs set 19 PRs at the Battle at the Bayou including a first-place finish in the 100m by Rosealee Cooper, who returns to defend her title.

For the first time during the outdoor season, Mississippi State will be in two places at once April 11-13. Part of the team will head to California for the Bryan Clay Invitational while others will travel to Gainesville, Fla. for the Tom Jones Invitational.Â

Bulldogs will have a quick turnaround as four days later the team will compete in the Mt. Sac Relays at San Antonio College in California. State will conclude the regular season at home with the Maroon and White Invitational. This will be the fourth consecutive year State will host the Maroon and White Invitational.

The post season will begin when State returns to Florida for the 2024 SEC Championships, May 9-11.

The postseason will continue at the NCAA First Rounds May 22-25 at the University of Kentucky. Those that qualify will advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships which will take place June 5-8 in Eugene, Ore.Â
