#FromStateToSundays: Week 4 Preview
October 02, 2022 | Football
STARKVILLE – A pair of head-to-head matchups between former Mississippi State players highlight the NFL's Sunday schedule this week.
However, Bulldog fans will have to get up early to see one of those as Cameron Dantzler and the Minnesota Vikings travel across the pond to London, England to take on J.T. Gray and the New Orleans Saints at 8:30 a.m. CT.
The Vikings-Saints game will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and televised on NFL Network.
The other game pitting former MSU players against one another will be at noon as the Philadelphia Eagles defensive tandem of Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay welcome Logan Cooke and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Montez Sweat and the Washington Commanders travel to Dallas at noon but Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will still be sidelined by a surgically repaired right thumb. Prescott had stitches removed on Monday and has started throwing short passes.
No timetable has been set for Prescott's return.
Many of Sunday's games will feature former Bulldogs playing on the road. Martin Emerson and the Cleveland Browns visit the Atlanta Falcons at noon while Seattle Seahawks offensive linemen Charles Cross and Gabe Jackson trek to Detroit to battle the Lions.
The Tennessee Titans defensive line duo of Denico Autry and Jeffery Simmons are also in action at the Indianapolis Colts at noon while Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs close out Sunday's slate at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 7:20 p.m.
The Green Bay Packers' pair of Elgton Jenkins and Preston Smith welcome the New England Patriots to Lambeau Field at 3:25 p.m. while Jonathan Abram and the Las Vegas Raiders host the Denver Broncos.
Two former State players were picked up on practice squads on Wednesday. The New York Giants inked wide receiver Makai Polk while the Titans re-signed defensive end Gerri Green.
