
Six Dawgs Break PR’s in One Event on First Day of Maroon and White Invite

STARKVILLE – All six Bulldogs in the men's 200m set new personal bests, en route to a first-place finish by Shamar Rose. The one event summed up MSU's opening day of the Maroon and White Invite, as 13 total Dawgs broke PR's. The Mississippi State track and field program also finished first in six of the 11 events that featured MSU.
The final day of the Maroon and White Invite begins Saturday, April 30, at 11 a.m. CT with six athletes competing across women's pole vault (Emma Hunt, Maddy Kish, Peyton Mickelson), women's shot put (Jhordyn Stallworth) and men's shot put (Jabari Bennett, Pierce). MSU will also be honoring its 20 Bulldogs for Senior Recognition (12:40 p.m. CT) on Saturday. Following the recognition, the Maroon and White will hit the track (1:25 p.m. CT) for the men's 4x100m relay.

- Both Cade Finley and Jeremiah Pierce each broke their PR in the men's discus
- Kennedy Jackson and Asia Poe both extended their mark in the women's long jump
- Zoe Brito (two) and Hayley Ogle (four) shaved a combined six seconds off their women's 800m time to set new PR's
- All six Dawgs in the men's 200m broke PR's: Jordan Barrow, Sema'J Daniels, Keldrick Edwards, Okheme Moore, Rose, Safir Scott
- Daniel Joyce shortened his men's 800m time
