4x400 Wraps Up Indoor Season, Earns Second Team All-American Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – On the final day of the NCAA Indoor Championships, Safir Scott, Gabriel Moronta, Leon Clarke and Lee Eppie became second team All-Americans in the men's 4x400-meter relay. The squad became Mississippi State's first relay group to grab second-team honors, and also became the program's first All-Americans in the event since 2016.

The 3:07.74 run was the second fastest time in the 4x400 event this season for the Bulldogs.

The 4x400 group concluded Mississippi State's showing at the NCAA Indoor Championships, joining Shayla Broughton, Rosealee Cooper and Jesse Henderson as second team All-Americans, while long jumper Cameron Crump earned the lone first team All-American honor for the Maroon and White.

MSU will take a week off before starting its outdoor season at home for the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays (March 24-26). More information regarding the home-opening meet will be made available in the coming days.
