TEAM NOTES
- Mississippi State returned to its winning ways with a 78-64 victory over South Carolina at Humphrey Coliseum. The Bulldogs improved to 14-7, 5-3 SEC and moved into a fourth-place tie with Arkansas in the SEC standings.
- The Maroon and White have won 12 of its 13 home games this season. State has won all five of its SEC decisions inside The Hump by a margin of 12.6 points per contest.
- Mississippi State moved to 26-16 all-time against the Gamecocks. The Bulldogs have won three straight and seven of the last nine meetings dating back to the 2017-18 season.
- Four Bulldogs dialed up double figures for the 11th time this season. State has posted a 10-1 mark when accomplishing the feat. The Bulldogs also have reached the mark during four of their five SEC victories.
- Mississippi State led wire-to-wire, by as many as 23 points late in the first half and by as much as 27 points on three occasions in the second half.
- The 45 points for the Bulldogs in the first half was the highest scoring output during SEC action.
- For the game, Mississippi State hit on 27-of-50 from the field (54.0 percent), 4-of-9 on three's (44.4 percent) and 20-of-26 at the charity stripe (76.9 percent).
- The Bulldogs are 9-1 overall and have won three of their four SEC decisions when shooting over 50 percent.
- Mississippi State dished out 15 assists on its 27 field goals and held a 30-24 edge in paint points.
- The Bulldogs outrebounded the Gamecocks by a 41-24 final clip. The +17 margin on the glass is the highest for State in conference play this year. The Maroon and White has won the battle of the boards in 17 of 21 games this season.

Iverson Molinar
- Paced the Bulldogs in scoring for the 15th time this season off another 20-point performance
- Extended his streak to 21 consecutive games in double figures to start the season, the longest for a MSU player since Tony Watts scored 10-plus points in all 28 games of the 1991-92 season.
- Marked his 16th career game of 20-plus points, State rises to 13-3 in those games.
- Has scored 20+ during five of his last seven outings.
- Set a career-high on a perfect 10-for-10 evening at the foul line.
- Has 1,065 career points. He surpassed Lawrence Roberts (2004-05), Fred Thomas (2013-14-15-16) and Lamar Peters (2017-18-19) on the program's scoring list to jump into 36th place.
- Matched an MSU career high with 18 points on an 8-for-14 shooting clip.
- Led all players with nine rebounds highlighted by four on the offensive glass.
- 17 of his 18 points came in the first half followed by six of his nine rebounds during the second 20 minutes.
- Finished the contest with 10 points, seven rebounds and a team-leading five assists.
- State moves to 10-2 where Jeffries finishes in double figures.
- The five assists match a season's best and mark his 11th outing with multiple assists.
- The seven rebounds are the most in a SEC game for Jeffries.
- Collected seven rebounds and a career-high three blocks.
- Rocket Watts made it double figures in back-to-back games and equaled his season-high with a trio of three-pointers made.
- Derek Fountain notched seven points and two rebounds. He averaged 8.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in two games against South Carolina last season.
- Andersson Garcia recorded a team-leading three steals. He has multiple steals in six games.
