
Three Bulldogs Named PFF All-SEC

STARKVILLE – A trio of Mississippi State Bulldogs have been named to the Pro Football Focus (PFF) All-Southeastern Conference teams, it was announced by the organization on Wednesday.
Cornerback Emmanuel Forbes and kick returner Lideatrick Griffin were both first team selections, while center LaQuinston Sharp was named to the third team.
Forbes ended the regular season tied for the FBS lead with six interceptions this year, while he recently broke the FBS career record for pick-sixes (6) with three this season alone. His 174 interception return yards also leads the nation.
Griffin, who was a PFF All-SEC second team selection last season, ended the 2022 regular season with 19 kick returns for 613 yards and a 92-yard touchdown return. He has also hauled in 35 receptions for 449 receiving yards and four touchdown catches on the campaign.
An anchor on State's offensive line, Sharp represented the Bulldogs as a third team selection after leading all SEC West centers with an 81.9 pass blocking grade on the season. Over the course of 12 games this season, Sharp did not allow a single sack or hit on the quarterback as the Bulldogs' starting center.
