#FromStateToSundays: Week 6 Preview
October 13, 2022 | Football
STARKVILLE – Week 6 of the NFL schedule features a pair of primetime matchups involving former Mississippi State players.
Montez Sweat and the Washington Commanders kick things off on Thursday night as they travel to the Chicago Bears at 7:15. Sweat is coming off a two-sack performance against the Tennessee Titans last weekend.
Sunday night's game features the NFL's only unbeaten team, the Philadelphia Eagles, at the Dallas Cowboys. Perennial Pro Bowlers Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay have helped the Eagles get off to a 5-0 start to the season.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is not expected to play while still rehabilitating a surgically repaired right thumb but did have a light throwing session on Wednesday.
The Philadelphia-Dallas game will be as close to a head-to-head contest involving former Bulldogs during Week 6.
Sunday's noon slate will see Martin Emerson and the Cleveland Browns host the New England Patriots, Tyre Phillips and the New York Giants welcome the Baltimore Ravens, J.T. Gray and the New Orleans Saints taking on the Cincinnati Bengals and Elgton Jenkins, Preston Smith and the Green Bay Packers playing the New York Jets.
Running back Kylin Hill returned to practice for the Packers on Wednesday, which started a 21-day window he can practice with the team without counting against the 53-man roster limitation.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and punter Logan Cooke are on the road Sunday at noon against the Indianapolis Colts while Cameron Dantzler and the Minnesota Vikings visit the Miami Dolphins.
Sunday's mid-afternoon matchups will see the Seattle Seahawks and offensive linemen Charles Cross and Gabe Jackson host the Arizona Cardinals at 3:05 while Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs welcome the Buffalo Bills to Arrowhead Stadium at 3:25.
