Kid Coach is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to salute pediatric patients. Their inspirational stories remind us just how truly courageous these young people are.
This week's Children's of Mississippi Kid Coach is Jaboris Arrington of Meridian.
It's not unusual for teenagers to be tired, but JaBoris was falling asleep in class and complaining about bad back pain. But it was extremely high blood pressure that sent him to Children's of Mississippi. After running several tests, doctors discovered he had anaplastic large cell lymphoma, a rare type of blood cancer.
Now, thanks to treatment from the experts at Children's of Mississippi, JaBoris is in remission, and everything looks great! A fun-loving kid, he enjoys playing video games and making people laugh.
