Adaloglou, Cirotte Conclude Singles Play At W15 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TEXAS – Two Mississippi State's women's tennis players represented the Bulldogs in the ITF W15 Lubbock over the weekend.

Magda Adaloglou and Chloé Cirotte participated in the singles qualifying draw on Sunday but will not be moving on to the main draw.

Adaloglou fought hard but lost a nail-biter in three sets to TCU's Mercedes Aristegui, 6-7(9), 6-0, 11-9. Aristegui is currently rated the No. 75 player in the nation in the ITA Rankings.

Cirotte fell in straight sets 6-1, 7-5 to Texas Tech's Bojana Marinkov, who had the advantage of playing on her home court.

Adaloglou and Cirotte will now team up for doubles action in Lubbock. The MSU duo will take on sisters from the University of Oklahoma on Tuesday in Carmen and Ivana Corley. The Corley sisters are the top ranked doubles tandem in college tennis.

Adaloglou and Cirotte have already own a win over a top 10 doubles team this fall, defeating No. 8 duo from Wake Forest Anna Brylin and Brooke Killingsworth at the Debbie Southern Fall Classic on Sept. 17.
