STARKVILLE – Mississippi State student-athletes enjoyed academic success in the classroom again during the spring, posting the highest department GPA for a semester ever at 3.2.

This was the eighth consecutive semester with a 3.0 GPA or higher for the department. Four programs (baseball, men's basketball, football and women's golf) recorded their highest-ever spring GPA, while football's GPA marked its highest ever.

An impressive 67 Bulldogs finished a perfect 4.0 for the semester, and a total of 249 student-athletes earned a spot on the Bulldog Honor Roll (3.0 or higher).

Women's golf had the highest overall GPA of any program at 3.79, and men's tennis (3.63) notched the highest by a men's team.
