Daniel and Levi Post Back-To-Back Under Par Rounds

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mississippi State women's golf recorded its second straight under-par round to sit in fifth place heading into the final day of stroke play at the SEC Championship at Greystone Golf & Country Club.

The Bulldogs shot a 2-under 286 team score. The top eight teams in the field advance to match play following the third round. Currently, MSU holds a 10-stroke lead over ninth place, and only nine strokes separate second place from sixth.

Co-leading State, Abbey Daniel and Hannah Levi posted back-to-back under par rounds, shooting 2-under par (70) on the second day. The duo carded a combined nine birdies to sit only three shots out of first place at 7-under for the event heading in the final round.

Not far behind, Blair Stockett shot 2-over par (74) after rolling in three birdies for the day. She remains 3-under for the event after a stellar first round to sit in an eight-way tie for 22nd place

Ashley Gilliam and Clara Moyano both improved their scores today with 1-over par (73) rounds. Gilliam ranks tied for 49th, while Moyano trails behind and rounds out the squad tied at 53rd.

State will return to the course for the final round at 8:50 a.m. on Friday, April 16, teeing off on Hole one, accompanied by Ole Miss and Arkansas.
