Women's Golf Announces 2022 Schedule

STARKVILLE – After competing in five events in the fall, Mississippi State women's golf has set its sights on the new year. This spring, the Bulldogs will be competing in four events across the United States from February through April.
State begins its spring campaign by traveling to Boca Raton, Fla. for the Paradise Invitational on February 7-8. The two-day event is played at the Baca Lago Country Club, and it will be the first time the Bulldogs have competed in the tournament hosted by Florida Atlantic University.
After a short break, the Bulldogs will travel to Peoria, Ariz. to compete in the Westbrook Invitational February 27-28, hosted by the University of Wisconsin. State competed in this event back in 2020, rallying from a five-stroke deficit going into the back nine. In their team win, MSU set multiple records, including the sixth-best team round in NCAA history with their score of 270 (-18).
MSU will head to Gainesville, Fla. for The Gator on March 5-6. The two-day event takes place at the Mark Bostick Golf Course which is located on the University of Florida campus. State last competed in the tournament in 2020 where Abbey Daniel finished tied for 23rd.
Three weeks later, the Bulldogs will travel to Athens, Ga. to compete in the Liz Murphey Classic for the third time in the past two seasons. Last year, the Bulldogs competed in both the fall and spring editions of the tournament hosted by the University of Georgia. In the fall 2020 edition, Hannah Levi captured her first individual win of her career while the team placed sixth.
State will cap off the regular season April 5-6 when they travel to Opelinka, ALÂ for Auburn Invitational at the Saugahatchee Golf Course.
The Greystone Golf and Country Club will play host to the SEC Women's Golf Championship for the ninth consecutive year. The 2022 edition will take place April 13-17 and will feature both stroke play and match play for the fourth consecutive season. Three rounds of stroke play will open the championship before the final eight teams switch to match play on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17. Sunday's final round will be televised live on SEC Network.
In the 2021 SEC Championship, Mississippi State advanced to championship Sunday for the first time as they bested two top-5 teams in the quarterfinals and semifinals to compete against Auburn in the final round.
The Bulldogs rounded out the fall slate ranked No. 29 in the Golfweek women's team collegiate rankings and No. 39 in the Golfstat team rankings.
