STARKVILLE – Preston Smith recovered two fumbles and made a pair of tackles in the Green Bay Packers' 36-28 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Smith scooped up a Matthew Stafford fumble and returned it 5-yards before fumbling himself. He did, however, alertly fall on the ball giving his offense the ball at the Rams' 6-yard line. The former Mississippi State product also posted the Packers' highest pass rush grade in Week 12 with five hurries.
Denico Autry (Titans) and Cameron Dantzler (Vikings) had the second-highest overall defensive grades on their respective teams last week while Darius Slay (Eagles) and K.J. Wright (Raiders) were credited with the second-best coverage grades on their squads.
Slay did not surrender a catch to the Giants and also added a pass deflection.
Johnathan Abram led Las Vegas with 10 tackles in the win over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.
In that contest, Dallas' Dak Prescott threw for 375 yards and two touchdowns. Prescott passed Danny White for the third-most career completions in franchise history and now holds the Cowboys' highest completion percentage (69.1) on Thanksgiving.
Tyre Phillips did not allow a pressure in the Ravens' win over Cleveland.
Starkville native Kobe Jones was released from Miami's practice squad on Monday.
