Bulldogs Reveal 2022 Indoor, Outdoor Track and Field Schedule

STARKVILLE – Head coach Chris Woods and the Mississippi State track and field program have announced the schedule for the 2022 indoor and outdoor seasons. Both seasons will feature six meets upon entering postseason competition.

MSU 2022 Indoor Season
The Bulldogs will open the 2022 campaign with back-to-back trips to Birmingham, Alabama, for the Vulcan Invitational (Jan. 14-15) and Samford Invitational (Jan. 21-22), before traveling to Arkansas to close out the month at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 28-29).

MSU will then split up on February 11 and 12, competing at both the Tiger Paw Invite in Clemson, S.C., and the Music City Challenge in Nashville, Tennessee. The Maroon and White will close out its indoor regular season in South Bend, Indiana, for the Alex Wilson Invite (Feb. 18-19).

The 2022 SEC Indoor Championships will be hosted by Texas A&M (Feb. 24-26). The top-16 qualifiers in each event from the conference championships will advance to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships (March 11-12), held in Birmingham, Alabama.

The outdoor season kicks off for the Bulldogs at home for the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays (March 24-26). From there, Mississippi State will make four consecutive road trips, starting with a visit to Baton Rouge for the Battle on the Bayou (April 2).

The Bulldogs will then travel to conference foes Ole Miss (Joe Walker Invite, April 8-9) and Florida (Tom Jones Invitational, April 15-16) before wrapping up the road trip at Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for the Crimson Tide Invite on April 22-23.

The outdoor regular season ends for the Maroon and White back at home with the Maroon and White Invite on April 29 and 30.

The SEC Outdoor Championships will be hosted by Ole Miss from May 12-14. The NCAA East Prelims will begin on May 25 in Bloomington, Indiana, and will conclude on May 28, with the NCAA Outdoor Championships, in Eugene, Oregon, taking place June 8-11.
