STARKVILLE – Week 8 of the NFL slate features a pair of primetime matchups between former Mississippi State players.
On Sunday night, cornerback Cameron Dantzler will try his best to pick off quarterback Dak Prescott when the Minnesota Vikings host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night at 7:20 on NBC. The Cowboys enter the game coming off a bye week and riding a five-game winning streak.
Monday Night Football this week will showcase the New York Giants newly signed linebacker Benardrick McKinney they battle another pair of former defensive standouts for the Bulldogs, Willie Gay Jr. and Chris Jones of the Kansas City Chiefs.
However, those won't be the only former MSU players in the limelight. The Green Bay Packers' quartet of Hunter Bradley, Kylin Hill, Elgton Jenkins and Preston Smith will get the week started on Thursday as they travel to the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are undefeated this year while the Packers have won six straight.
The only other head-to-head meeting between former Bulldogs is Sunday at 3:05 p.m. when Gabe Jackson and the Seattle Seahawks play host to Logan Cooke and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
In other action, Denico Autry and Jeffery Simmons of the Tennessee Titans square off against Autry's former team the Indianapolis Colts and the Philadelphia Eagles tandem of Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay travel to Slay's old stomping grounds of Detroit to take on the Lions. Both of those games are scheduled to start Sunday at noon.
Montez Sweat and the Washington Football Team will also take to the gridiron in the Mile High City as they visit the Denver Broncos and the New Orleans Saints and J.T. Gray play welcome the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both of those contests begin Sunday at 3:25 p.m. on Fox.
