Mississippi State will hit the road for the first time in Southeastern Conference play on Saturday traveling to No. 15 Texas A&M.

- Head coach Mike Leach is 7-4 all-time against Texas A&M in his career.
- Quarterback Will Rogers has completed an NCAA-best 169 passes during Mississippi State's first four games. It is the most completions by a college quarterback through the first four games since 2000.
- Rogers leads the SEC and ranks in the Top 4 nationally with 1,454 passing yards and 363.5 passing yards per game. He currently leads the country with 42.5 completions a contest.
- Rogers' five interceptions through his first 10 starts is the fewest ever by a quarterback under Leach. His 71.9 completion percentage during those starts is also the highest posted by one of Leach's signal callers.
- MSU has forced a turnover in six straight games dating back to last year. The Bulldogs have 13 takeaways (10 interceptions, three fumble recoveries) during their current streak.
- Since cornerback Emmanuel Forbes started playing college football last season, he leads all FBS players with seven interceptions. The sophomore is the nation's active leader with three career pick-6's and is also the SEC's active leader in career interceptions.
- Forbes had a 60-yard pick-6 against Texas A&M in Starkville last season.
- Lideatrick Griffin tops the country with a 48.8-yard average on kickoff returns.
- Makai Polk leads the conference with 33 catches and averages 8.2 receptions per game.
- State is the SEC leader with 51 passes of 10 or more yards this year.
- Jo'quavious Marks has caught a pass in 15 consecutive games. Polk, Malik Heath, Jaden Walley and Austin Williams have all hauled in a pass in 13 straight contests.
- The Bulldogs have limited their opponents to just 71.3 yards on the ground per game, which ranks eighth nationally.
- Due to a vacated win by the Bulldogs in 2018, Texas A&M leads the overall series against MSU 7-6. The Aggies also hold a slight 3-2 advantage in games played in College Station.
- The Bulldogs have won three of the last five meetings on the field with all three victories coming while Texas A&M was ranked in the Top 25 and Mississippi State was unranked.
- Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher has a 2-1 record against the Bulldogs.
- Aggies running back Isaiah Spiller has scored at least one touchdown in each of his last three games.
- Jalen Wydermyer has 12 career TD catches, tied for the most ever by a Texas A&M tight end.

- Texas A&M ranks fourth in the country in pass defense, giving up only 119.5 yards through the air. The Aggies have also only allowed two passing touchdowns all season.
- Texas A&M lost its SEC opener to Arkansas 20-10 last week in Arlington, Texas. Since joining the SEC in 2012, the Aggies have never started league play 0-2.
