January 17, 2021 | Football
Parker started the final 21 games of his career on the offensive line
STARKVILLE – A staple up front for Mississippi State football over the past two seasons, Dareuan Parker has announced his intention to enter his name into the 2021 NFL Draft process.
"First and foremost, I would like to thank God for giving me the ability to play the sports I love," Parker said. "I would also like to thank my coaches and teammates for helping me become the football player I am today. To my mom and dad, thank you for your unconditional love and continued support.
"Lastly, to the greatest fans in the world, thank you for giving me the best college atmosphere and welcoming me to the Bulldog family. After much thought and prayer, I have decided to pursue my dream and enter my name in the NFL Draft."
In his four seasons on the field, Parker appeared in 47 career games with 22 starts on the offensive line, including a start in the final 21 games of his career. In 2020, he was the only MSU offensive lineman to start every game, doing so at right guard in each contest. He started 10 games at left guard and one game at right guard during the 2019 campaign.
The Olive Branch, Mississippi, native led the FBS in pass blocking snaps (571) in 2020 per PFF and was the highest graded offensive player (75.5) for MSU on the season. He tied for the No. 7 pass blocking grade (82.2) among FBS offensive linemen with at least 450 snaps, according to PFF and graded as MSU's top-graded offensive lineman on five occasions (at LSU, at Kentucky, Vanderbilt, at Georgia, Missouri).
Parker earned his undergraduate degree in industrial technology from Mississippi State in December 2020, while also earning third-team All-SEC from Pro Football Focus at right guard.
