Bulldogs open season at LSU on CBS on Sept. 26, home opener set for 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 3
STARKVILLE – Mississippi State's 2020 football schedule came into clearer focus on Tuesday morning as the SEC announced the start times and television networks for five of the Bulldogs' 10 games.
Â
Four of the games will air on the ESPN family of networks, including matchups in Starkville against Arkansas, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt as well as a road contest at Alabama. The league announced earlier on Tuesday morning that the Bulldogs' opener at LSU on Sept. 26 would be broadcast by CBS at 2:30 p.m. CT.
Â
MSU's home opener against the Razorbacks on Oct. 3 is set for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on the SEC Network Alternate channel, and the Nov. 7 game against Vanderbilt will be played at 3 p.m. on SEC Network.
Â
The Oct. 17 matchup with Texas A&M will be played at either 11 a.m., 2:30 p.m. or 3 p.m. on the SEC Network, the SEC Network Alternate channel or other ESPN platforms.
Â
When the Bulldogs travel to Tuscaloosa on Oct. 31, they'll kick off at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
Â
Given the unique circumstances of this season, the SEC requested that its television partners make advanced game selections where possible prior to the start of the season to assist the Conference and schools with planning and logistics. For any games not chosen before the start of the season, the normal 12- or six-day selection process will be used during the season.
Â
The 2020 SEC football season will be comprised of a 10-game Conference-only schedule and the SEC Football Championship Game will be played Dec. 19 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, rescheduled from the original date of Dec. 5. The schedule will include one mid-season open date for each school and an open date on Dec. 12 for all schools.
