Mississippi State Basketball Announces “$10 for 10k” Campaign

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State basketball, partnered with the Mississippi State Chapter of Colleges Against Cancer benefitting the American Cancer Society, announced its "$10 for 10k" campaign, which challenges fans to donate $10 for every seat in Humphrey Coliseum and raise a total of $100,000 to help "Get Cancer Over the Hump."
The campaign will run from February 8 until March 10. Fans can donate and find out more information by going to www.MSStateFightsCancer.org. Call 800-227-2345 to learn more about "Get Cancer Over the Hump" or for other information.
Along with the campaign, if Mississippi State has more than 10,000 people in attendance for both the men's game against Alabama (Feb. 25) and the women's game against Arkansas (Feb. 27), head coaches Vic Schaefer and Ben Howland will each donate an additional $10,500 to the American Cancer Society.
The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem with the mission to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
