MSU Continues Commitment To NCAA Graduation Success Rate Excellence

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State Athletics combined for a score of 88 in the latest NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR), the organization announced Tuesday.
It's the fourth consecutive cohort that MSU has posted an 88 percent or better in the NCAA GSR.
Four Bulldog programs – men's basketball, softball, women's golf and women's tennis – earned perfect scores of 100. Men's track and field (92) women's track and field (91) recorded scores of 90 or better.
Men's basketball's score of 100 marked the highest in program history, 16 points above the national Division I sport average and tied for the highest mark among SEC men's basketball programs.
Men's basketball, men's track and field, football, softball, women's track and field, women's golf, women's tennis tied or exceeded the GSR national average.
Men's basketball, softball, women's golf, women's tennis tied or exceeded their all-time GSR high.
In addition, men's basketball (tied for first), softball (tied for first), women's golf (tied for first), women's tennis (tied for first) and men's track and field (second) ranked in the top five of the SEC in their respective GSR scores.
The NCAA Graduation Success Rate is designed to show the proportion of student-athletes on any given team who earn a college degree. The report represents data from first-time freshmen, student-athletes who entered at midyear, and student-athletes who transferred into Mississippi State University between 2010 and 2013 but excludes student-athletes who transfer from the university in good academic standing.
