Anderson Named to TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week

TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week

The freshman was named honorable mention the week prior.

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State women's soccer freshman Maddy Anderson was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's Team of the Week, the publication announced Tuesday (10/6).

After the match against Alabama, the goalkeeper was named honorable mention by the publication, but after defeating Ole Miss, 1-0, and recording her first career shutout, the freshman earned herself a spot on the team.

The Seabrook, Texas native had four saves on twelve shots from the Ole Miss Rebels, tying the most shots she's faced in a game thus far. Anderson has faced 33 shots overall this season and has made a total of 12 saves.

Anderson and the Bulldogs will face LSU at home on Sunday, Oct. 11, with tip set for 3 p.m. at the MSU Soccer Field. The game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
