October 29, 2020 | Football
STARKVILLE – There will be just one head-to-head matchup for former Bulldogs in the NFL in Week 8. At noon CT on Sunday, Green Bay hosts Minnesota for a divisional rivalry game on FOX.
Rookie cornerback Cameron Dantzler will line up across the ball from his former teammate and Packers guard Elgton Jenkins. The Packers defense also features safety Will Redmond and linebacker Preston Smith. Hunter Bradley is Green Bay's long snapper.
Nine additional Bulldogs will kick off at noon. Pernell McPhee and Tyre Phillips host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Baltimore. Meanwhile Willie Gay Jr., Braxton Hoyett and Chris Jones host the New York Jets in Kansas City.
In road action, Denico Autry and the Colts travel to Detroit to face the Lions. Johnathan Abram and Gabe Jackson also have a road kickoff with the Las Vegas Raiders in Cleveland, and the Tennessee Titans and Jeffery Simmons travel to Cincinnati this week.
Veteran linebacker K.J. Wright and the Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers at 3:25 p.m., while J.T. Gray and the Saints travel to Chicago.
Sunday Night Football on NBC will once again highlight former Mississippi State standouts. Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay, who have a combined eight Pro Bowl selections between them, lead the Philadelphia defense against the Dallas Cowboys at 7:20 p.m.
