Former Bulldogs set to play in 12 of 16 games in Week 4
STARKVILLE – Bulldog fans are in for a busy Sunday in Week 4 of NFL action. All but three games across the league will have at least one former Mississippi State student-athlete on the field.
Former State teammates go head-to-head in three games on Sunday afternoon. Pernell McPhee and Tyre Phillips will matchup against Montez Sweat and the Washington Football Team at noon CT on CBS. It will mark the second straight week that Phillips is tasked with blocking a defensive lineman from his former school after meeting Chris Jones and Kansas City on Monday night in Week 3.
Also at noon over on FOX, 2020 draft pick Cameron Dantzler and the Minnesota Vikings take on veteran linebacker Bernardrick McKinney and the Houston Texans. Some fans may also see Jacksonville and punter Logan Cooke against Cincinnati and offensive lineman Deion Calhoun on CBS for a noon kickoff.
Fletcher Cox and Darius Slay take the Sunday spotlight with Philadelphia traveling to San Francisco for Sunday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 7:20 p.m. on NBC.
Four former Bulldogs – Hunter Bradley, Elgton Jenkins, Will Redmond and Preston Smith – will take the field for the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football. The Packers host the Atlanta Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on ESPN.
