Fans Invited to Softball Leadoff Banquet

STARKVILLE – Head coach Samantha Ricketts will introduce her 2020 Mississippi State softball team at the program's Leadoff Banquet on Feb. 13 in the Leo Seal Multipurpose Room.
Fans will have a chance to meet the team and hear from Ricketts as the Bulldogs embark on their spring campaign. Tickets are available for $25, but "Triple" and "Home Run" members of the Diamond Club will receive two free admissions.
The evening's entertainment will include a guest speaking appearance from director of athletics John Cohen and highlights from the 2019 season.
Assistant coach Tyler Bratton will emcee the event and give a brief introduction of each student-athlete. The Bulldogs will then participate in a talent show by class to display their personalities.

The Bulldogs open the season on Feb. 7 against Missouri State in the NFCA Leadoff Classic at 11 a.m. CT. State will follow that contest with an exhibition against Team USA that evening at 5 p.m. State's home opener is set for Feb. 12 against Alabama State at 4 p.m.
