STARKVILLE – When Mississippi State football takes the field for its Homecoming game this Saturday in Davis Wade Stadium, it will do so in a special uniform recognizing MSU's T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability.
Adidas teamed up with seven schools to unveil a new strategy "Selfless" uniform, geared toward recognizing the efforts each institution puts forward to leave a positive impact within the community.
The uniform is inspired by MSU's original silhouette with a black base colorway to accentuate the uniform's metallic accents. Iridescent, color-shifting stripes throughout the sleeves and pants pay homage to the T.K. Martin Center logo. Exhibiting assistive technology through design, graphics replicating a computer's circuit board are placed within the striping.
"We are beyond thrilled and honored Adidas has chosen to highlight the T.K. Martin Center through the 'selfless' jersey for Mississippi State football," said T.K. Martin Center Director Dr. Kasee Stratton-Gadke. "We have greatly enjoyed working with Adidas to inspire the design and simply cannot wait to see our players and community members in the jersey very soon. We couldn't be more thankful to Adidas for supporting our programs at the T.K. Martin Center through their generous donation and emphasizing the work we do to support individuals with disabilities in Mississippi."
The strategy "Selfless" replica jersey is on sale now at HailStateStore.com with 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the jersey going directly to the T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability.
The T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability is renowned throughout the state of Mississippi, providing assistive technology for individuals to participate in educational, vocational and leisure activities. It's a research based center through the Office of Research and Economic Development housed in the College of Education. Beyond being a research and service center for technology and disability, the center has a history of strong partnerships with many colleges on campus providing resources, services, and training for faculty and students.
Tickets for the 6:30 p.m. game are available at HailState.com/tickets, by calling 1-888-GO-DAWGS or in person at the MSU Athletic Ticket Office on the first floor of the Bryan Athletic Administration Building (288 Lakeview Drive), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The north end zone ticket office of Davis Wade Stadium opens on game day at 3:30 p.m.
