STARKVILLE – Hail State Productions, Mississippi State Athletics' award-winning creative video content team, has garnered three nominations for Southeast Regional Emmy Awards as presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Southeast Chapter.
The group is up for an Emmy in the promotion, program and campaign category with their 2018 "Moor Cowbell" campaign. Video production was spearheaded by Assistant Athletic Director of Video Operations Drew Walker. The Moor Cowbell campaign was launched in the first year of the Joe Moorhead era of Mississippi State football, and it centered on the pageantry and tradition of the program (view video).
Two Emmy nominations come from women's basketball's NCAA Tournament run in the short form editor and short form writing categories. Assistant Director of Video Operations Derek Cody produced the "Mississippi State Women's Basketball: Why We're Here," which was launched prior to the Bulldogs' run to a second straight NCAA Final Four appearance.
Former Hail State digital media reporter Bob Carskadon is up for best short form writer as he wrote the script for "Mississippi State Women's Basketball: What We Do."
Winners will be announced on June 15 at the 45th Southeast Emmy Awards in Atlanta. Hail State Productions captured two Emmy Awards last year.
