Johnson Leads State to Exhibition Victory Against Florida

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – Rising sophomore Niah Johnson's five-point performance propelled Mississippi State to a 3-2 victory in Orange Beach, Alabama, against SEC-foe Florida on Saturday.
Johnson scored twice and assisted on a goal from Olivia Hernandez. Hernandez scored for the first time since an exhibition match against Memphis on Aug. 11, 2017. Johnson was tied for third on the team with four goals in her freshman campaign.
The Bulldogs now turn to the home portion of the spring schedule. MSU hosts Southern Miss in an in-state matchup on Super Bulldog Weekend at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, April 13.
