
Bulldogs Head West For Westbrook Invitational

STARKVILLE – Coming off a second-place finish, the Mississippi State women's golf team will travel to Peoria, Arizona, to compete in the Westbrook Invitational.
The Bulldogs will begin play Sunday with a 36-hole shotgun on the par 72, 6,432‐yard Westbrook Village Golf Club Vistas Course. State will face a competitive field, including No. 24 Oklahoma.
Head coach Ginger Brown-Lemm is looking forward to seeing what her team has improved on since their last outing.
"We built on the positives from our opening event at Shoal Creek, and we are in a great place," said Brown-Lemm. "The team is ready, and they will go out and play with purpose, no matter the conditions. We are excited to get back out there."
Freshman Hannah Levi will lead MSU into the second tournament of the spring coming off a strong start tying for third place in the previous, Shootout at Shoal Creek.
Sophomores, Aubree Jones and Blair Stockett will bring a competitive edge to this weekend's lineup. They both are coming off strong showings tying for ninth place in the previous tournament.
Juniors, Clara Moyano and Ela Grimwood will round out this weekend's lineup to compete for the title in Arizona.
Veteran Katie Holt will compete in the invitational as an individual. She previously finished 2-over par and tied for eleventh.
