Seven National Broadcasts Scheduled to Feature MSU Softball

STARKVILLE – Season eight of the Vann Stuedeman era will once again be featured in the spotlight as the Southeastern Conference and ESPN have announced television coverage Friday for the 2019 softball season, which features Mississippi State in seven nationally-televised contests.
Along with the seven national television appearances, Mississippi State will air each of its home non-linear games on SEC Network+, which is available online and through WatchESPN and the WatchESPN app. Streaming information for remaining road contests will be announced at a later date.
The national audience will get its first look at the Bulldogs in back-to-back road contests at Kentucky on March 16-17 to kick off the opening weekend of SEC play as the second and third games of the series will air on the SEC Network.
April highlights the bulk of Mississippi State's television coverage as Nusz Park and the Bulldog will be featured five times over the month, beginning on April 6-7 as the Bulldogs welcome LSU to StarkVegas. The second and third games of the series with the Tigers will air on ESPNU.
Over Easter weekend, the Bulldogs host in-state rival Ole Miss for a three-game series. The two squads will square off on the SEC Network on Friday, April 19.
MSU rounds out its home television slate during to close the SEC slate at Nusz Park as the second and third games of the Bulldogs series versus Missouri on April 27-28 will be featured on the SEC Network.
The final Saturday of the regular season will consist of a "wildcard" game that will feature a televised broadcast of a key matchup in the conference race. The selected wildcard game will be announced approximately one to two weeks prior to the game's date.
This year's schedule also features a "Bases Loaded" special on the SEC Network on May 5, the final day of the regular season. MSU's regular-season finale at Florida will be featured as part of the whip-around coverage and will be streamed in its entirety on the SEC Network +.
Every game of the 2019 SEC Tournament, which will be held in College Station, Texas, will be aired nationally on ESPN family of networks.
Entering opening weekend with the program's first preseason ranking since 2001, No. 24 Mississippi State opens its 2019 season by hosting the Bulldog Kickoff Classic at Nusz Park over Feb. 8-10. The Bulldogs open the three-day tournament on Friday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. versus Middle Tennessee.
