Team USA Member Keilani Ricketts Highlights Winter Softball Camps

STARKVILLE – Before embarking on her first season at the helm of the Mississippi State softball program, head coach Samantha Ricketts has announced three winter camp dates.
A special offering is available to pitchers on Jan. 5 as Team USA pitcher Keilani Ricketts will be in Starkville to provide instruction. Keilani is a two-time national player of the year and won an NCAA National Championship in 2013 at Oklahoma. All campers will receive a signed item at the conclusion of camp.
The Bulldogs will also hold two general winter camps on Jan. 25-26, 2020.
The Jan. 25 camp is designed for players in sixth grade through their senior year of high school. Instruction will consist of multiple sessions which will cover hitting, defense and pitching. Pricing options are available for one, two or all three of the day's sessions.
The following day, campers in the second through fifth grades are invited to Nusz Park. Registration for this one-day camp costs $75.
These camps are designed to provide intensive instruction on all aspects of the game of softball, focusing on hitting skills, defensive skills, base running and game strategy. All defensive positions including pitching and catching will be covered, along with extensive instruction on hitting. Athletes will have the opportunity to get live-game experience as well.
