Perry Adds Wooden Award, NABC Watch List to Preseason Accolades

STARKVILLE – Hours before taking the court to open his sophomore season, Reggie Perry added to his preseason trophy case as he was named to the Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 and the NABC Preseason Top 20 Player of the Year Watch Lists on Tuesday.
Perry has been showered with multiple preseason accolades which also include the Citizen Naismith Trophy List and the Karl Malone Award Watch List presented by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame which is given to the nation's top power forward. He also has collected preseason All-America honors from Lindy's, Street & Smith and Athlon Magazines.
Perry is one of seven SEC players to appear on the Wooden Award List. He is joined by Kerry Blackshear Jr. (Florida), Anthony Edwards (Georgia), Ashton Hagans (Kentucky), Scottie Lewis (Florida), Tyrese Maxey (Kentucky) and Andrew Nembhard (Florida).
The Thomasville, Georgia product also is a unanimous preseason All-SEC First-Team selection by both the media and coaches. Perry is coming off a busy offseason where he participated at the NBA Draft Combine and captured MVP honors at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in Greece. He came away with 13.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks per game as Team USA secured a 7-0 record en route to a gold medal.
Perry was an All-SEC Freshman Team honoree last season. He collected 12 of his 17 performance in double figures versus SEC opponents. Perry registered 11.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in conference play. The 8.2 rebounds were tops among SEC freshmen and rated third overall. He scored a season-high 21 points to fuel victories at Ole Miss and against South Carolina during February.
Mississippi State will carry a SEC-best, 22-game non-conference on-court home winning streak into its regular season opener versus Florida International on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Tipoff is on-tap for 7 p.m. CT at The Hump, and the game will be streamed live by SEC Network+ via the WatchESPN platform.
Mississippi State is offering a pair of new fan-focused season ticket options for the 2019-20 season which includes the addition of general admission seating to men's basketball. A traditional general admission season ticket for seats in designated areas of the 200 level are available for only $155, while reserved seat season tickets are available for $275.
The second offering is a first-of-its-kind mobile access season ticket, the mobile access pass. This new ticketing option will provide exclusive access to already-sold lower level seats during non-conference games inside Humphrey Coliseum, and a 200 level general admission ticket for all conference games.
During non-conference play, fans with the mobile access pass will be digitally delivered a general admission ticket for a designated lower level section each game and will have access to sit in any open seat within that designated section.
