STARKVILLE - The Joe Moorhead era got off to a fast start with a dominant 63-6 victory over Stephen F. Austin. Keytaon Thompson led the way with an SEC and MSU single-game record seven touchdowns responsible, while accounting for 473 yards of total offense. Preseason All-Americans Montez Sweat and Jeffery Simmons were in the backfield all night, combining for seven of MSU's 17 tackles for loss.
