MSU Basketball to Hold Walk-On Tryouts

The Bulldogs will hold walk-on tryouts for current and eligible students next Friday.

STARKVILLE – Current and eligible Mississippi State students that want to try out for a walk-on position with the men's basketball program will be given the opportunity on Friday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m. inside Mize Pavilion.
All interested students must submit their name, MSU ID number and date of birth to Derrick Zimmerman via email at ddz1@msstate.edu by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14.
After eligibility has been determined by the MSU Athletic Compliance Office, those eligible to tryout will be required to go to the compliance office, located on the second floor of Humphrey Coliseum, on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 2-4 p.m. to pick up a tryout checklist.
Eligible candidates will be contacted about the detailed process moving forward after eligibility has been determined, which includes proof of insurance information and a required physical.
The Mississippi State Athletics Ticket Office is selling season tickets for as low as $199. Fans can purchase tickets online at www.HailState.com/Tickets, in person at the MSU Athletics Ticket Office located at the Bryan Athletic Building or via the phone at (662) 325-2600. Information on single-game tickets and mini plans will be announced at a later date by the ticket office.
