MSU Puts Four on All-SEC Watch List, TV Schedule Released

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State soccer placed four on the 2018 All-SEC Watch List the conference office announced on Wednesday. Carly Mauldin, Brooke McKee, Courtney Robicheaux and MaKayla Waldner were tabbed as potential all-conference selections.
Mauldin made the list for the second straight year after starting all 18 games in 2017. She put 15 of her 32 shots on goal and played the full match 14 times. The 2017 campaign also saw the senior from Laurel, Miss., score her first goal at Alabama on Oct. 15.
McKee led the squad with 20 points and was second in both goals (8) and assists (4). The senior from Huntsville, Ala., earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 23 after scoring three times in two games against Georgia and Ole Miss.
Robicheaux will be a key part of State's back line. The Mandeville, La., native started 16 matches and played the full game a dozen times. She set a new career high with three goals in her junior campaign.
Waldner set the MSU single-season record for game-winning goals last year with five and needs just three more for the career record. She finished second on the team with 19 points (9 goals, 1 assist). The Dexter, Mo., native led the squad with 56 shots and put 23 on frame.
The SEC and ESPN also announced their television schedule for the 2018 season on Wednesday. When MSU visits Tennessee on Sept. 23, the match will be carried on SEC Network. The 2018 Magnolia Cup in Oxford, Miss., against Ole Miss on Oct. 21 will air on ESPNU. Additionally, every Bulldog home match will be broadcast on SEC Network+ this year.
